Praying Like Little Children

Oh how precious are the prayers of little children! They are innocent and, trusting. Children do not judge. They only know they like to make friends. Children should be our examples! If we could see the world through the eyes of a child, we would be in a better place. This is so so true when it comes to prayer. We don’t need to use language that is meant to impress others or, God for that matter. Can you imagine trying to impress God? What a waste of time. God knows everything about you.

When children come together they don't care about color, economics, religious affiliations, or sex. All they care about is making friends. As grown adults, we should follow their lead. Especially in our prayer life. We should want to make friends with God. God wants time with us because He is THE good good Father. He wants to hear from us in our own words. Tell Him about your day. Give your trials  and cares to Him. Lean on Him like a little child leans on their parents. Trust that the One who created you will always have your best interests at heart.

Pray from your heart today. Know that your heavenly Father is waiting to listen to you. Trust that only He who created you knows your deepest groaning. God loves us with such a deep love that we will never fully understand. Lean on Him.

One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could lay his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples scolded the parents for bothering him. But Jesus said, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children.”  And he placed his hands on their heads and blessed them before he left.
