January 3rd prayer

January 3rd prayer...

Father God I applaud the brilliance of Your creation. I celebrate it in every season. You spoke the earth into being and everything in it. With one word from Your lips... we are! Lord my prayer this morning is that You speak Your crown of abundance over 2021. Your Word says that You crown the year with Your goodness and that Your paths drip with abundance. Lead me Lord on the abundant path You have carved for me. Help me Jesus to stay on that path. Speak Your wisdom into my being so that Your Word will act as my compass. Set me on the mountains every morning Lord so that I may look upon Your glory in creation. Remind me daily Lord of Your goodness. Let 2021 be a year of abundant worship, prayer, revelation, and love. Reveal to me Your mysteries. Show me new understanding. I pray Lord that my path be illuminated by the Light. Let this path lead me closer to You. Along the way oh God, I pray that You equip me for Your kingdom purpose. Keep my path soft and sweet smelling with the dew and, show me every stone that would trip me up. Let me have time to smell the aroma of the flowers. Let Your face shine upon me even in the midst of the storms. Make 2021 my year of abundant increase Father, for the saving of souls, to share Your gospel, to stand in the gap through prayer and supplication, and in my spirit. In Jesus name I pray, AMEN.

When we compare ourselves with other people we are creating an open door for the prince of lies. Comparison tells us that we are either better than others, or fall short of what others view as successful. This has never been more of an issue than it is today, with all the social media sites out there. We have started to gauge our relationships by how many "likes" and "shares" we have. When people don't respond in the way we wan t we start to compare ourselves. I guess that person is taller than me, that person has more friends than me, that person has pretty blond hair, that person is skinny or in shape, wow he prays for 3 hours a day! etc. etc. etc. You can fill in the blank here. By comparing we either build up ourselves to the point of narcissism or, we tear ourselves down to the point of depression. Either way the end result is killing your joy! Praying Like Little Children

Oh how precious are the prayers of little children! They are innocent and, trusting. Children do not judge. They only know they like to make friends. Children should be our examples! If we could see the world through the eyes of a child, we would be in a better place. This is so so true when it comes to prayer. We don’t need to use language that is meant to impress others or, God for that matter. Can you imagine trying to impress God? What a waste of time. God knows everything about you.  When children come together they don't care about color, economics, religious affiliations, or sex. All they care about is making friends. As grown adults, we should follow their lead. Especially in our prayer life. We should want to make friends with God. God wants time with us because He is THE good good Father. The Broken Clay Jars

In ancient times people stored their treasures in pottery jars which were molded by a skilled Potter and then baked until hard. He would decorate them with glaze or, paint and give them an ornate lid. Still, some were more functional and baked without adornment. These were all used to hold sacred scrolls or valuable documents. Pottery jars whether beautifully decorated or purely functional had one thing in common, they were fragile, temporary vessels. Just like these jars were made from earthen clay, our bodies were also formed from the earth. Genesis 2:7 HCSB Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.  Our bodies were created by God for many different purposes.
