January 4th prayer... Worship

Holy Father I worship you this day with song, with tithing, with serving, with helping my neighbor, and with keeping Your Word on my lips. All day, every day I worship You. Just like the rain falls and does not return to where it came from, it stays and waters the earth; so is Your Word. Your Word will accomplish all that You have intended. It will not return to You void. Lord God, I will keep my mind stayed on You. I will make my eyes focus only on Your Son, Jesus. I worship Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Through Holy Spirit, remind me when some other thing tries to take my worship. Remind me to repent of that and, refocus. You alone are worthy of worship! Thank You Abba Father that when we worship we can't worry. When we declare Your righteousness, Your grace, and Your mercy we terrify the enemy who makes us to worry. I pray Jesus that when trouble comes I respond with these words... GOD IS GOOD, JESUS IS KING, AND HOLY SPIRIT IS MY FRIEND. With these words I take captive every lofty thought that the enemy wants to use to harm me. I pray Jesus that everyone who follows You will declare and worship the Father instead of choosing to worry. You have overcome this world and defeated Satan. We have nothing to fear! I worship my Triune God who is all powerful,  all knowing, all seeing, the beginning and the end of everything. I declare that You are Holy, Holy, Holy! In Jesus name I pray... AMEN!

When we compare ourselves with other people we are creating an open door for the prince of lies. Comparison tells us that we are either better than others, or fall short of what others view as successful. This has never been more of an issue than it is today, with all the social media sites out there. We have started to gauge our relationships by how many "likes" and "shares" we have. When people don't respond in the way we wan t we start to compare ourselves. I guess that person is taller than me, that person has more friends than me, that person has pretty blond hair, that person is skinny or in shape, wow he prays for 3 hours a day! etc. etc. etc. You can fill in the blank here. Praying Like Little Children

Oh how precious are the prayers of little children! They are innocent and, trusting. Children do not judge. They only know they like to make friends. Children should be our examples! If we could see the world through the eyes of a child, we would be in a better place. This is so so true when it comes to prayer. We don’t need to use language that is meant to impress others or, God for that matter. Can you imagine trying to impress God? What a waste of time. God knows everything about you.  When children come together they don't care about color, economics, religious affiliations, or sex. All they care about is making friends. As grown adults, we should follow their lead. Especially in our prayer life. We should want to make friends with God. God wants time with us because He is THE good good Father. The Broken Clay Jars

In ancient times people stored their treasures in pottery jars which were molded by a skilled Potter and then baked until hard. He would decorate them with glaze or, paint and give them an ornate lid. Still, some were more functional and baked without adornment. These were all used to hold sacred scrolls or valuable documents. Pottery jars whether beautifully decorated or purely functional had one thing in common, they were fragile, temporary vessels. Just like these jars were made from earthen clay, our bodies were also formed from the earth. Genesis 2:7 HCSB Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.  Our bodies were created by God for many different purposes.
