January 6th prayer

I saw Satan falling like lightning from heaven. Look,  I give you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice that your names are written in heaven. Luke 10-18:20 ESV

January 6th prayer...

Father God I praise your name today Lord. You wage war against evil and overcome it! The victory is Yours Jesus. You send us out to battle evil and, You have given us Your armor as divine protection. Not many know of this heavenly appointment God. I pray today that new warriors be birthed through being reborn in Christ Jesus. Let our leaders teach of Your armor and, how we can put it on every day. Your belt of truth supports our core, the breastplate of righteousness protects our hearts, You fit our feet with the gospel of peace so that we are sure footed, we have the shield of faith which deflects the flaming darts sent by Satan,  we put on the helmet of salvation to protect our minds from the lies of the enemy, giving us a sound mind, and You give us the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God. It is our only offensive weapon and it divides bone and marrow. I pray Jesus that no warrior leaves their beds in the morning without this protection. I pray this armor over all of our nations leaders. Let them do Your will oh God. I pray the armor of God over my city, county, and state. Equip us Jesus for this battle. Show us the plan Holy Spirit. Let us link arms with other warriors and stand firm against the attacks of the enemy. Give us discernment Lord to know what is of You. Give us wisdom Father to make sound decisions. Show us the course that leads to peace. In Jesus Holy name, AMEN.

When we compare ourselves with other people we are creating an open door for the prince of lies. Comparison tells us that we are either better than others, or fall short of what others view as successful. This has never been more of an issue than it is today, with all the social media sites out there. We have started to gauge our relationships by how many "likes" and "shares" we have. When people don't respond in the way we wan t we start to compare ourselves. I guess that person is taller than me, that person has more friends than me, that person has pretty blond hair, that person is skinny or in shape, wow he prays for 3 hours a day! etc. etc. etc. You can fill in the blank here. By comparing we either build up ourselves to the point of narcissism or, we tear ourselves down to the point of depression. Either way the end result is killing your joy! Praying Like Little Children

Oh how precious are the prayers of little children! They are innocent and, trusting. Children do not judge. They only know they like to make friends. Children should be our examples! If we could see the world through the eyes of a child, we would be in a better place. This is so so true when it comes to prayer. We don’t need to use language that is meant to impress others or, God for that matter. Can you imagine trying to impress God? What a waste of time. God knows everything about you.  When children come together they don't care about color, economics, religious affiliations, or sex. All they care about is making friends. As grown adults, we should follow their lead. Especially in our prayer life. We should want to make friends with God. God wants time with us because He is THE good good Father. The Broken Clay Jars

In ancient times people stored their treasures in pottery jars which were molded by a skilled Potter and then baked until hard. He would decorate them with glaze or, paint and give them an ornate lid. Still, some were more functional and baked without adornment. These were all used to hold sacred scrolls or valuable documents. Pottery jars whether beautifully decorated or purely functional had one thing in common, they were fragile, temporary vessels. Just like these jars were made from earthen clay, our bodies were also formed from the earth. Genesis 2:7 HCSB Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.  Our bodies were created by God for many different purposes.
